Wishing upon a star never really works-unless maybe you actually go there? Or even better: You send the person you hate the most on a one-way trip. Like, for example, a caliph you'd like to replace - Will outer space be the answer to Iznogoud's eternal problem? Or should he try through education, or the arts? Maybe his dreams hold the key to his success? Many questions, but only one certainty: When it inevitably goes wrong for the evil grand vizier, it's the reader who will be the one laughing!

About the Author:

René Goscinny was a storytelling superhero with a sharp pen, a quick wit, and a talent for turning everyday chaos into comic gold. Born in Paris in 1926 (though he grew up partly in Argentina—plot twist!), René didn’t just write stories—he created worlds where humor ruled and characters practically burst off the page with personality.

He’s best known as the brilliant co-creator of Asterix, the plucky little Gaul who, with a magic potion and a whole lot of attitude, takes on the mighty Roman Empire—one hilarious adventure at a time. With artist Albert Uderzo by his side, Goscinny packed the series with puns, clever cultural jabs, and slapstick fun that made both kids and grown-ups laugh out loud.

But Asterix wasn’t his only claim to fame! René also gave us Lucky Luke, the cowboy who could shoot faster than his shadow, and Le Petit Nicolas, the charming schoolboy with a knack for innocent mischief and heartfelt chaos.

Goscinny’s stories are clever, timeless, and full of fun—and decades later, they’re still winning hearts (and belly laughs) all over the world. Whether you love clever wordplay, epic adventures, or just a good old-fashioned laugh, René Goscinny’s world is one worth getting lost in.
