Oliver is disappearing.

Oliver is supposed to be in Grade 8, but instead he's becoming invisible. He has been living in a hospital while his mom undergoes cancer treatment, with nobody seeming to know—or care—that he's even there.

After his mom passes away, Oliver is sent to live with his estranged father on a vast, secretive estate. At first, he feels just as invisible there.
