About The Pandas Who Promised by Rachel Bright

High on a misty mountainside, red panda cubs Popo and Ketu live happily with their mama.

As the sisters grow, they promise Mama that they will always stay close to home.

But while cautious Popo is content to spend her days in the family's cosy treetop nest, bold Ketu dreams of excitement and exploration.

About the Author:

Rachel Bright is the brilliant, big-hearted author behind some of the most beloved picture books on the shelves—where rhymes roll off the tongue, life lessons sparkle, and every page is filled with warmth and wonder. She’s the creator of bestsellers like The Lion Inside, The Koala Who Could, and The Worrysaurus, teaming up with illustrator Jim Field to bring powerful stories to life in the most playful way.

Before becoming a full-time author, Rachel was a copywriter, illustrator, and even a professional printmaker—so it’s no surprise her books are packed with clever words and vibrant ideas. Whether she’s writing about self-belief, bravery, kindness, or courage, Rachel’s stories always feel like a hug in book form.

Her books are perfect for bedtime snuggles, classroom storytime, or anytime your little one needs a reminder that they are brave, unique, and wonderfully enough—just as they are.

If you love rhyming tales with big messages and even bigger heart, Rachel Bright is an absolute must-read.
