Pleasantly Surprised

I didn’t know much about this book before I read it so I didn’t know what to expect, however, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I enjoyed the fact that the FMC wasn’t the conventional FMC and that her growth wasn’t just the typical growth that most writers go for when it comes to a FMC. I enjoyed this book so much that I finished it in a day and was back to buy the second book the following week. Would highly recommend (and I have!).

Good!

The book itself is beautiful. Absolutely stunning, and Readers Warehouse did a great job at packaging it to make sure it wasn't damaged. Beautiful cover, art, etc. Honestly love it.

The story is a bit of a disappointment. Good plot, but the writing felt very rushed and definitely didn't live up to my expectations. Still a good read though, and if you enjoyed Fourth Wing, definitely make sure to give the sequel a read!
